Jumps on the downhill?

Postby Ktfunaro » Sat Nov 07, 2009 11:32 am

Hello to all!!!
I have been riding the downhill trails lately and the little jumps are fun, but i think they would be more fun if they were like 3ft and 5ft gaps. the jumps would just need to be built up a bit and have lips to launch you... A landing ramp would be needed to. I am willing to help/organize a build for them. Let me know if this is even possible. Thank you.

I'm willing to help if possible. I'm working at Best Buy now and going to school though.

I know this post is old but I am very interested in making the jumps on the downhill bigger. Even if we made just one bigger one on the side, that would be awesome.

Hi,

I made those 4 jumps, with permission of coarse. I was out there riding yesterday and they were just as fun as the day they were made. With a little speed you can get 3' high and 20' long of air time on a couple. GW and crew have done a great job maintaining them. Thumbs up to the trail workers.
As far as modify these into gap jumps, I vote no. These are made so people new to air can get a little taste without falling into a gap if they come up short. I have no objection to seeing you guys do something different off to the side, but please do not put lips on these or make them into gaps. Kickapoo State Park won't let us do anything but table tops (gap jump with the gap filled in) over here. What is Comlara's policy on table tops?

Hey Bill I agree with you fully, but he's talking about the jumps on the downhill on Hillside not Bovine.
